URBAN DESIGN
Roberto Brambilla’s Urban Design experience goes back to his 1960’s practice in Neuchatel, Switzerland, where he served as Principal Urban Designer for the Pizzera Corporation.
In the 1970’s, in New York City, Brambilla worked with the Urban Design team of Llewelyn Davies Associates in the planning of three New Towns in the U.S.
During the last 30 years, Brambilla has designed new communities, business districts, waterfronts and pedestrian areas in the U.S., Europe and Latin America.

Lakefront section of the city of Neuchatel, Switzerland, including a highway by-passing the city, a new marina, and the expansion of the University campus.

Alternative proposal for the Illinois Central Air Rights and the Ogden Slip, Chicago, U.S.

Competition entry for the design of a new residential community at Roosevelt Island, N.Y. (as part of the Woo’s team)

Competition Entry for the design of Piazza d’Italia in New Orleans.

Competition entry for the re-design of Charlotte, NC, Central Business District (as part of the Wolf’s team).

Master Plan for a new waterfront section of the City of Cartagena, Colombia, featuring 10,000 residences, including patio and town houses, high-rise apartment buildings, water lofts and houseboats.

Hillcrest, Master Plan for a 10,000 inhabitants new residential community in Ponce, PR.
